Smashing Pumpkins headlined 7104.5’s Christmas Concert on Dec. 2, with support from The Nixons and Kitten. Billy Corgan and co.’s set included fan favorites, such as “1979,” “Cherub Rock,” “Tonight, Tonight,” and “Bullet With Butterfly Wings,” as well as some surprising covers and guest appearances from Oklahoma musicians. Hanson joined the band for a take on Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” and Chainsaw Kittens singer Tyson Meade sang on David Bowie’s “Suffragette City.” The Pumpkins also performede Depeche Mode’s “Never Let Me Down Again” and The Cure’s “Friday I’m In Love.”
